Laboratory seminar

Here is the Introduction of seminars and lectures held at the High Energy Physics Laboratory.

Seminars for undergraduate students

Undergraduate students can take seminars and lectures once a week. Each of them is held by each staff in this laboratory. The main content is reading high energy physics textbooks written in English in turns. This provides students with the essential knowledge for high energy physics (detectors, relativity, elementary particles...) and the ability to read English. By taking these seminars and lectures, students can get this vital knowledge for graduation research and future physics activity.

Seminars for graduate students

Graduate students can take seminars and lectures once a week, too. Different seminar's content from undergraduates is to introduce physics papers. In this seminar, students choose and study papers that are relevant or interesting to their research theme and present them to this laboratory's members.

Laboratory meeting

We have a meeting once a week.
Each student presents the progress of the research using slides, and members exchange opinions for the presentation. Speaker's study is different from each other, for example, about elementary particle experiments, Belle and Belle II, and heavy-ion experiments, ALICE and PHENIX, so you can learn your non-specialized field and know what other students are working on.
